PR, social and content agency Sling & Stone has officially opened a new office in Los Angeles.

Following a successful expansion to New Zealand, Sling & Stone is launching in the United States to help more of the world’s brands tell their stories to global audiences. Sling & Stone will also support entrepreneurial Aussie and Kiwi brands looking to expand into the US.

In Australia Sling & Stone’s clients include Twitter, Nest, Zillow, Slack, Goose Island, and Stripe.

Says Vuki Vujasinovic, CEO, Sling & Stone: ” Unlike big agencies, we are built from the ground up to suit the needs of high-growth brands — from the earliest startups to established innovators. Designed for agility and speed, we run on the best technology, and work more closely with our clients.

“We are doers, not just talkers. Most importantly, we have deep experience in translating and telling stories of change and innovation for audiences across a wide range of industries — from space-tech, to the retail industry, and just about everything in between.”

Vujasinovic will lead the expansion and head the US operation, splitting time between Sydney and Los Angeles. Dominique Koudsi returns from a year in Australia with Sling & Stone to her hometown of Los Angeles to join Vujasinovic, and Kimberly Lorman joins the team, from Brew PR.

Says Vujasinovic: “2017 was a breakout year for Sling & Stone — in terms of scaling our incredible team, opening our first overseas office, and doing more impactful work for the clients we partner with.

“The US has always been in my sights since founding the agency seven years ago, and I am very proud that we’re taking this leap. Having worked with so many incredible US brands, helping them launch and grow in Australia, we have a strong sense of how they operate and what they need.

“We’re not a run of the mill agency, and I believe what we’ve built both organically and deliberately in Australia will be a genuinely fresh approach in the US PR market.

“We’ve built Sling & Stone by getting behind challengers, while having a knack for helping both the early stage underdog and the established big-thinkers.

“Los Angeles was a natural choice for our first US office. The energy in the creative, technology, and startup communities here is electric. While we’ll work with brands from all over the US, we are very excited to become a part of the LA innovation network.

“We’re excited to take the best of what we’ve created in Australia across the Pacific, and show the US what we’ve got.”

Sling & Stone’s first client, Myriad Festival is one of Australia’s newest and largest innovation festivals from the founders of Slush, on a mission to connect the dots between the Australian, US, and global economies. Sling & Stone will represent Myriad in the US and sees it as a fitting bridge between its Aussie roots and new home.
