eBay Australia taps Shane Warne for newly launched campaign via 72andSunny, Sydney
eBay AU via 72andSunny Sydney, has released a new series of cheeky films that show Australia’s one-stop-shop for savvy shoppers is just a click away.
As a cricketing legend who has made some embarrassing mishaps and headlines in his day, eBay taps Warne to ensure others don’t have the same regrets, and instead uncover Australia’s top products and the best prices by checking eBay.
Says Julie Nestor, chief marketing officer, eBay Australia & New Zealand: “We’ve created a campaign that reflects the strength of our Australian business, without taking ourselves too seriously. We have some 40,000 Aussie stores on the platform, and we’re committed to offering the best prices on the top selling products in the country. Collaborating with Warnie has given us the perfect opportunity to remind Aussies of this strength, and have some fun along the way.”
Says Johnny Tan, executive creative director, 72andSunny APAC: “We are very proud of our partnership with eBay. We loved getting the chance to reinforce the importance of what this company brings to consumers in Australia through a fun collaboration with Shane.”
The larger campaign will air on broadcast and online across major capital cities.

Nice Foxtel ads
Been a long time since Warnie cocked up. Surely there’s a better choice of talent?
this wont’ worry any award juries. 72 starting with mediocrity. be interesting to see how long the LA mothership put up with it before they go the way of D5 Sydney.
good stuff!
Surprised this wasn’t done by WiTH Collective… They love washed up Australian talent.
AREAS SHANE! TOSS IT UP INTO THE ROUGH, JAG ONE BACK THROUGH THE GATE.

Good job 72, take another agency’s work and Make It Yours.
Why aren’t there any names on this?
yeah but I think Bill Cosby has a lot on atm…
72 is definitely not killing it. Been in Sydney a while now.
This ad campaign feels out of touch with Australian culture. Isn’t that meant to be 72’s thing?
