Colenso BBDO Auckland snares "It's a Tide Ad" co-creator Max McKeon for creative director role

image1 (1).jpgAussie expat Max McKeon, currently associate creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi, New York, will soon join Colenso BBDO Auckland as creative director.

McKeon was part of the Saatchi team that created the brilliant "it's a Tide Ad" campaign which cleaned up at Cannes Lions last week, including taking out a Titanium Lion and the Film Grand Prix.

Prior to joining Saatchi's New York in June 2015, McKeon was at The Monkeys in Sydney for two and a half years, and before that, had a five year copywriter role at Publicis Mojo Sydney.

Says Levi Slavin, chief creative officer, Colenso BBDO: "We are absolutely thrilled to have someone of Max's calibre joining us at Colenso. He's not only one of the best talents in the industry, he's one of the nicest, funniest, humblest guys I know. Monday is going to be a very good day."

Tide ad is amazingly entertaining and well produced. We did something similar but different thematically for Honda back in the day. (Unfortunately I can only find the 15.)

Actually the same idea. Still very interesting but minus a celebrity presenter and yes, made a long time ago.
