RSPCA NSW asks dogs how it feels to be home in new ‘The Dog House’ spot for National Dog Day

RSPCA_THUMB (1).jpgRSPCA NSW has released a new spot celebrating National Dog Day.

The spot titled ‘The Dog House’ asks dogs the simple question of how it feels to be home.

Following an online casting from the RSPCA supporter base, the video documents real dogs in real homes, with the crew travelling over 250 kilometres in the two days of production to capture this unique feeling.

Says Marianne Zander, executive manager, communications, RSPCA NSW: “It’s not uncommon for adult dogs to be in our care for long periods of time while they wait for their forever home. So when the opportunity arose to work with this talented team pro-bono to promote the ever-important message about adoption, we couldn’t say no. We’re excited to see how many dogs get adopted as part of National Dog Day this year as a result of this truly collaborative effort.”

Says Harry Roth, the director behind the spot: “Being at home is a feeling we all know. This spot was a real opportunity to break the trope of dogs in the shelter to go full circle to remind us all just how great it feels to be home.”

He says the incredible effort would not have been possible without the generous support of Digital Logic and Entropico. A special mention is also owed to Daniel and the team at The Editors as well as Adrian Shapiro of Scoundrel for really getting behind the project.

The video will run across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
