Taxi Film Production and Stephen Lance host screening of ‘The Second’ in Sydney + Brisbane
Taxi Film Production’s latest duo – Stephen Lance and Mairi Cameron, hosted a private screening of The Second in Sydney and Brisbane last week.
Lance has taken on a different role as writer, co-producer and second unit director in his latest feature film.
Lance’s partner, Mairi Cameron, whose career spans over a decade of directing short films, music videos and TVCs, directed the feature film, which was her debut.
The film explores an author’s success following the release of her celebrated erotic memoir which is threatened when her best friend and muse reveals the truth behind the memoir’s provenance, igniting an incendiary tale of sex, lies and betrayal.
The conclusion of the film gave audience members the opportunity to participate in a Q&A with the director and producer/writer.
Says Lance: “The idea for The Second comes from my long-time collaboration with Mairi. We both share the same love of mysteries and thrillers, and strong, complicated and messy female characters.”
The Second is now available to watch exclusively on Stan.
