The inspirational stylised brand film series shines a spotlight on up and comers rapper Henoke Nega (Hvncoq), Shamita Sivabalan the ballerina, and basketballer Willson Deng, chronicling the highs and lows they experience on their road to success.

More than 50 people were involved in the project, including iconic Australian lifestyle brand Volley, which was filmed around Melbourne earlier this year.

02-Volley-Balerina-Sham-MST-60-Sec.00_00_31_13.Still064.jpgCollaborator and DoP of the series Egan, wanted the piece to give a voice to artists, athletes and makers who have had to overcome the pressures of personal obstacles and social norms everyday to follow their dreams and do what they love – a common everyday hustle for the creative community.

Says Egan: “The aim of this project was two-fold; To explore the mind set of inspirational role models that can inspire and help others going through similar everyday challengers; and to showcase the talent of some of Melbourne’s unknown superstars.

“In my experience the mental barriers can be just as big as the industry ones sometimes. This is a real common battle for all artists but also the fuel that drives us to keep pushing and reach our potential.

“Ultimately, I’d love this work to inspire other creatives to keep pushing, hustling and go out and live their dreams every day.

“Moments is for all the artists, athletes and makers who push themselves every day to be more. These moments make us.”
