Screen Shot 2018-10-23 at 9.45.21 am.jpgARC EDIT has announced another new addition to its roster for Australia and New Zealand with the signing of Rodrigo Balart.

A highly experienced editor who has worked across film, television and commercials for over a decade, his most recent work includes the Errol Flynn biopic ‘In Like Flynn’, the TV version of cult drama, ‘Romper Stomper’ and ‘Seven Types of Ambiguity’, for which he won last year’s AACTA Award for Best Editing in Television. On the commercial side, he has worked with the likes of Alex Roberts & Christopher Nelius from FINCH and Justin McMillan from Goodoil.

Balart forms part of ARC’s expanding Melbourne based roster alongside Peter Sciberras, Graeme Pereira and James Ashbolt.

Says Joseph Perkins, executive producer, ARC: “ARC has always been active in introducing new faces to the commercial sector of our business with the simple intention of being able to offer up something different. We wanted to bring fresh opinions, outlooks and ways of working to our industry and they don’t come any better than Rodrigo. He has a great body of work which gives him a solid level of experience to get stuck into the commercial world, he can operate in both Melbourne and Sydney as a local talent and has a real eye for story, which of course fits with our ethos here at ARC. We’re all super delighted he agreed to come on board and I’m excited to see the work he and our production partners put together.”

Says Balart: “I’m delighted to become part of the ARC crew. I’ve known some of the guys for many years, and have watched them grow into one of APAC’s best cutting houses. I’m really looking forward to adding to their ever growing list of amazing work across film, TV and especially commercials.”
