Brownes Dairy celebrates the true spirit of Christmas in new TV campaign via Meerkats

Brownes_Image (1).jpgWith Christmas shortly upon us, Brownes Dairy has launched its first ever Christmas TVC via Meerkats for ‘Santa’s Favourite Milk’. The spot celebrates the joy of giving and saying thank you – and not just to the man in the big red suit.

The mums at Brownes know all too well that with rituals of writing wish lists and making demands to Santa at the local shops, Christmas can easily become a season of “I want! I want! I want!” for young families. But there is one Christmas ritual that can be a great opportunity to teach kids the importance of giving.

The TVC follows a young child, who after putting out a tall glass of milk for Santa, realises there’s a few more people he’d like to wish a merry Christmas.

Says Melanie Wiese, chief strategy officer, Meerkats: “A parent’s most important job at Christmas is to teach kids that giving is more important than getting. Milk for Santa is the first gift kids give. It offers a sign that parents are getting the whole parenting thing right.”

The 45-second spot, along with 30-second and 15-second cutdowns, have launched across TV, cinema, and social in the lead up to Christmas.

Says Natalie Sarich-Dayton, marketing director, Brownes Dairy: “It was important to us that our Christmas ads would have a strong message from our family to the families of WA. Meerkats have once again delivered a simple insight that led to great creative.”

Says Rikki Burns, associate creative director, Meerkats: “It’s not every day we’re able to work on such an iconic brand in the Christmas space. This beautiful result is a testament to the hard work and talent of the entire crew, and the strong brand vision of our partners at Brownes Dairy.”
