Diabetes WA launches new 'If you've got it, we get it' integrated brand campaign via &Partners, Perth

After appointing &Partners in September, Diabetes WA has just launched its new brand campaign, If you've got it, we get it.

Diabetes WA is the peak body and voice of Diabetes in WA. Its role is to support Western Australians living with diabetes, as well as those at risk of developing the condition. That support comes in the form of personalised advice, support services, free diabetes workshops, online resources, help for families and carers, and specialised training for healthcare professionals.

The campaign will encourage Western Australians living with diabetes to reach out and take advantage of those services, to manage their symptoms and minimise the impact of the condition in the long term.

According to Helen Plange, Diabetes WA general manager of communications and marketing, the new campaign couldn't have come at a better time.

Says Plange: "Right now, diabetes is the fastest growing chronic illness in the world and there are over 125,000 Western Australians living with the condition. We're here to minimise the impact it has on individuals, families and society, and this campaign will encourage more people to take advantage of our uniquely WA-centric services, so they can stay as well as possible, for as long as possible."

The launch campaign featuring online film, social, radio, outdoor and press, was created to relate to people living with diabetes, and reassure them the team at Diabetes WA understands the quirks and complications of living with the condition.

Media strategy and buying was by Initiative Perth, who have extensive experience in the community health sector.
