0.jpgWPP AUNZ can confirm that after more than eight years at brand design agency Cornwell, CEO Sally Dobell has resigned to pursue new challenges.

Cornwell’s Jessica Murphy will now take on additional management responsibilities as part of her promotion to general manager.  Dobell will work closely with Murphy in the coming months as she transitions out of the agency.

WPP AUNZ chief business director Rob Currie thanked Dobell for her commitment to Cornwell: “Sally has led the Cornwell business to be recognised as one of the country’s most innovative and respected brand experts.  During her time, she has successfully developed a highly creative culture that will continue to produce outstanding ideas of influence.

“We respect her decision to make a change after more than eight years building the business and have no doubt she will be a success in the next step she takes.”

Says Dobell: “It has been our people and the quality of work that has been my driver. The team have joined me in a relentless pursuit of excellence and we have achieved great things together. My resignation has been with mixed emotions but I know after more than eight years it is time to take on a new challenge and continue to evolve as a business person.”

Currie said senior management from fellow WPP AUNZ agency Landor will also provide key support to Cornwell following Dobell’s departure.

Says Currie: “One of the many benefits of the WPP AUNZ Group is the ability to tap into key expertise as and when required.  While the Cornwell brand and structure remains otherwise unchanged, we can utilise support from other Group brand experts and management to ensure the agency continues on its trajectory of growth.”

Additionally, ECD Quan Payne has also resigned from the business to pursue other interests.  An announcement regarding Payne’s replacement will be announced in due course.
