Western Power makes the safe call with new campaign via J. Walter Thompson, Perth
In its first major campaign since awarding the consolidated account to J. Walter Thompson in late 2018, Western Power has launched the next evolution of the ‘Make the Safe Call’ campaign.
The campaign encourages everyone in WA to stay safe in electrical emergencies and highlights their role in reporting any incidents and helping Western Power keep the community safe and grid-connected.
Says Joe Hawkins, creative director, J. Walter Thompson Perth: “Winning the Western Power account was a huge way to end our 2018, and the launch of the new Make the Safe Call campaign is a huge start to our 2019.
“The team at Western Power are as hungry for cut-through creative ideas and strategic thinking as we are to deliver it, and we’re particularly proud of our first collaboration in evolving the brand’s safety awareness messaging. And a big hat tip to the teams at Sandbox, Brainestorm and The Office of John Cheese for helping bring the ideas to life.”
Says Jill Goodwin, brand and customer communications manager, Western Power: “Make the Safe Call is such an important message for us to ensure the safety of our community. All it takes is a call to Western Power, and it can significantly alter the outcome of an electrical emergency. JWT’s fresh approach to this campaign allows us to connect and empower our customers to keep their community safe.”
