London hot-shop Adam & Eve merges with DDB in £60 million deal – renamed Adam & Eve/DDB

Screen shot 2012-05-24 at 8.02.27 AM.jpgOmnicom has acquired London hot-shop Adam & Eve in a deal estimated to be worth around £60 million. A&E will now be merged into DDB London.

The new company will be called Adam & Eve/DDB and will have combined billings of around £270m.

Adam & Eve (agency partners pictured left) was set up in London in 2008, after James Murphy, Ben Priest and David Golding left Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R to do a start-up in June 2007. The agency is best known for its work for the British retailer John Lewis. Other clients include Foster’s and Lastminute.com
