Four finalists for Colenso BBDO, Auckland on Asian Marketing Effectiveness Awards shortlist

Picture 926.pngColenso BBDO, Auckland leads the New Zealand and Australian pack for the Asian Marketing Effectiveness Awards 2010 shortlist with four finalist entries – the most of any agency in Australasia and more than any other agency in the BBDO network.

Sister shop Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne had two finalists (Pure Blonde ‘Brewtopia’ and Bega ‘Real town. Real Cheese’) and shared a finalist with Proximity Melbourne (Mercedes Benz ‘Let’s talk’), while Ogilvy Sydney also had two finalists (Panadol ‘It’s my choice’ and Coca-Cola).

V Rocket Pack for Frucor Beverages is a finalist in three categories(‘Best ideas’, ‘Best insights/strategic thinking’ and ‘Most effectiveuse of branded content’) while Primo Extremo for Fonterra Brands is afinalist in the ‘Most effective use of product design and packaging’category.

The VRocket Pack campaign was tracked by Colmar Brunton as the most’distinctive’ and ‘interesting’ on record, and preceded a significantsales and share increase for the V range. It also has four finalists atthis year’s Axis awards.

 

The Asian Marketing EffectivenessAwards recognise marketing campaigns based on the impact they have onbusiness performance.  Winning entries are those that articulate asingle business issue, a very clear communications strategy to addressthat issue, and specific and clear results that prove the case.

 

ColensoBBDO won the Grand Prix at last year’s Asian Marketing EffectivenessAwards for Yellow Treehouse. In addition to being the most effectiveagency in the Asia Pacific region, the agency also currently holds thetitle of New Zealand’s most effective agency of the year, awarded atlast year’s New Zealand EFFIES. 

 

The Asian Marketing Effectiveness Awards will be held in Shanghai on 25 March 2010.
