Air New Zealand, via agency .99 Auckland, has created two risque online videos to promote its new 777-300 planes, which commence operation in April 2011.
The spots, produced by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop and Curious Film, feature Rico, a well-meaning, budding travel author whose comments are full of unintentional innuendos.

These are great.
A client that will admit that sometimes you have to sit next to annoying people or that some people don’t know how to make the video system work allows for realistic interactions with their character who is also pretty funny.
Brilliant! Very refreshing airline commercial.
hilarious
They’re different, which is good. But not funny, which is bad.
love it
School boy humour. Pathetic.
Looks like it was written for $.99, produced for $.99, and definitely not worth $.99, which is only $.75 in Australia.
Really sad to see this kind of work on the blog. Just badly done, and more than a bit embarrassing for all concerned.
Ooooh Matron!!!
Man those jokes were dry. Dry stuff from a dry company i guess
Oh my God…funny dialogue! Remember that?
Choice.
Jim Hensson’s shop for . $.75. Mate, you’re dreamin!
Weird. Funny.
You can lick the crack? WTF. Funny.
I wanna sheeeet on the bed
I wanna fock on de table
I wanna piss off toast
more punch lines from another old school boy italian joke…..
How sad to see that even the kiddies – that means you, dear reader – have, from their moral indignation, gone all PC on us.
I guess rob fyfe was unavailable for this one…….no need for him to take his shirt off. amazing how they go from inspiring journeys and an inspirational brand to this……and its with the same agency(ok .99 is still part of the colenso group). Great look Air NZ Im so proud of my national airline when I see this!
Elderly Fart @ 3:49
It’s not about moral indignation, ole fella, it’s about aesthetic indignation. Who cares about sexually suggestive humor and whether it’s PC or not? The issue is the smell of the writing (and we won’t even talk about the production values), not the “risque” nature of the gags. As if they were actually that provocative. Not exactly “My Dick” is it?
You’ve presumably been around long enough to know good work from bad. Damn, even us ‘kiddies” know a stinker when we see one, but maybe it’s time to start collecting on your Super, sit in the rocker, and drift away slowly.
Boeing and Airbus are in a race to the bottom to see who can throw new planes together as quickly and cheaply as possible by taking as many short cuts as they can get away with.
Humour is probably not a good strategy to use in association with either of these brands.
Aw thet’s a butt rude, hey. Hardly futting for our neshional kerrier.
If only more kiddies could write real good like you, sir, 8:43.
Ah, Mr. Fart, you’re two kind.
My official rating: 4/5* (fucking hilarious)
