SH124_cover_mag.jpgThe latest issue of global creative title shots magazine features Sydney-based, Kiwi born directing maestro Paul Middleditch from Plaza Films as its cover star.

Multi-award winning Middleditch was chosen to be interviewed for the special shots series “The Way I See It” which is a close up and personal interview that reveals what makes this directing talent tick, his childhood influences, creative insights and career challenges.

Talented Sydney based photographer Andreas Smetana agreed to take the portraits of Middleditch and after reading some early copy Smetana came up with the creative concept to capture Middleditch and his unstoppable comedic brilliance.

Says Margot Fitzpatrick, agent for shots Australia and New Zealand: “The shots editorial team were so thrilled with these wickedly energetic portraits of Paul  that they made the front cover.  The team carefully select everything that appears in shots and Andreas and Paul managed to snaffle the cover from stiff competition, the likes of US directors Spike Jones and Jeff Labbe, so it’s credit to both of them.”

The Middleditch director profile on the shots 124 DVD shows how clever comedic concepts lead to client success stories – the line up includes TVC classics such as Yellow Pages “Not Happy” and Carlton Draught’s “Big Ad” and “Flashbeer”.

shots 124 also includes a Japan special and an Argentina focus and the DVD features new work from Australian agencies Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, Droga5 Sydney, and the Campaign Palace Sydney.

Additionally, this shots edition comes with a bonus DVD – the 2010 APA Collection – sponsored by shots, the APA Collection is the best of British advertising from the last 12 months.
