AXIS Awards to be broadcast nationally in New Zealand via TVNZ On-Demand for the first time
For the 2011 AXIS Awards, CAANZ has partnered with major sponsor TVNZ to bring the award show to all New Zealand via TVNZ On-Demand.
“New Zealand has an incredible world class advertising industry. This is all about theindustry promoting itself as such,” says AXIS Convenor of Judges, SpecialGroup’s Tony Bradbourne.
“The Fair-Go Best and Worst ad awards is one of the country’s highest rating shows,” he said. “Itproves that there is huge public interest in what our industry produces. But itis probably not the best ad for how innovative our industry is.”
On 31st MarchTVNZ will film the awards ceremony, before and during. An edited show will thenbe available on TVNZ On-Demand including exclusive interviews with theinternational judges explaining why they awarded Golds.
“The AXISawards is the pinnacle of creative advertising thinking – but there is no realrecord of what wins. There’s no annual. This is a truly modern and innovativeway to change that,” says Bradbourne.
