The day after the first snow in Auckland for 72 years, Subaru ran this national newspaper ad to reassure Aucklanders that the streets were still passable.

Great idea. But were those roads actually closed?
Ah, If memory serves me right, back in 1991, Range Rover via FCB Sydney
ran a full page newspaper ad that was mostly white space with the headline:
SEEN THE ROAD TO THREDBO LATELY?

The excitement and anticipation at the BC&F offices every morning when the daily papers are delivered must be palpable.

A good ad. A good solid ad. A witty newspaper ad. Capable of making even the cynics chuckle.
As with the Fiji Tourism posters, this always was a good idea.
