The win follows the recent announcement that Amnesia Razorfish won the Lion drinks and dairy brands digital business.

The Lion and Sportsgirl wins cap off a huge year for Amnesia Razorfish. The agency has won $10 million in new business over the past 12 months.

Amnesia Razorfish will be expanding Sportsgirl’s e-commerce site, as the national retailer moves to capture a greater share of the growing online shopping market.

“Our team will be managing all aspects of Sportsgirl’s digital marketing, and of course expanding the e-commerce offering, which is a huge opportunity for the brand,” said Amnesia Razorfish managing director Michael Buckley.

Buckley continued: “We’ll be working closely with Sportsgirl strategic brand manager, Prue Thomas and the rest of the Sportsgirl marketing team to develop Sportsgirl’s digital offering so that it connects with its target audience and brings real returns to the brand, which is an Australian icon.”

Sportsgirl’s Prue Thomas said she was impressed with Amnesia Razorfish’s international digital experience.

Says Thomas: “Amnesia brought with it a deep understanding of the importance of getting the e-commerce expansion of our business right from the outset. Its global resources and rich analytics offering gave us the confidence that the agency is the right digital partner for Sportsgirl.“
