Well known and loved copywriter Aislinn Andrews (pictured in green top withDonna Stevens and the Hoff at The Stokehouse in 2005) passed away at 11.25am yesterday morning in Perth. Her Mum, Dad and brother were with her, she is now at peace.
Last night’s auction in Melbourne was a huge success with Helen Gory Galerie finalising the total which is expected to be over $20,000. Thank you to everyone who donated, bid and came to support FundrAislinn.
Today would have been Aislinn’s 30th birthday.

Condolences to her family and friends. That is just terribly, terribly sad.
I think Dr Seuss said it best: “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.”
RIP, Ais.

That’s really horrible news, she was way too young. Condolences to family & friends. RIP.
I first met Aislinn at the radio writers workshop in 2001… And although I no longer have the promotional polar fleece jacket, I’ll never forget Aislinn.
She was beautiful, smart, funny and charming. Her grace and courage are an inspiration to us all.
It is horrible news.
Aislinn was both talented and nice.
Her blog was courageous writing at its most honest.
Such a brave young woman.
My heart goes out to her family and friends.
Goodbye gorgeous girl,

I too met Aislinn years ago at the Radio Writers’ workshop in Marysville.
She was just such a beautiful, talented girl.
Taken far too early. Condolences to her family and friends.

I’m touched and saddened by this news of someone I didn’t know – but wish sorely that I had.
My thoughts and best wishes go out to Aislinn’s family and loved ones.
The first time I encountered Aislinn’s handiwork was when I returned from holidays to find my desk completely “girlified”, complete with pink ribbons, balloons and poster boy pinups. She’d left her mark before we even met.
I was fortunate enough to work with her for a brief time a couple of years ago, and remember a sweet, funny, intelligent, beautiful person. I didn’t realise it at the time, but incredible courage was also one of her attributes, it seems.
A sad, sad day.
I recently competed in a triathlon to raise money for Breast Cancer of which I told Aislinn about before her passing…all she could say was thank you….all I can say is, no Aislinn thank you for being my inspiration to keep going when I didn’t think I could swim, ride or run anymore!!
She was so wonderfully warm, kind and caring and will be missed.

Update from Jemma at Helen Gory Galerie:
So far we have raised $30000 which is quite amazing and will go towards paying Aislinn’s treatment debts and also the Cancer support network of WA which was the charity she nominated. I will let you know the final amount once we have finished doing all the calculations over the weekend, it would be great if you could add the final total to Campaign Brief. The huge amount raised is testament to everyone’s generosity and love for Ais.
I met Aislinn about 6 years ago when she was at DDB. I came over from Perth with intentions of getting my book around. I didn’t know her but she showed nothing but care and interest in me finding my feet in Melbourne as she could relate to what I was going through – she went out of her way to put me onto a few CD’s around town. My condolences go out to her family in Perth and may she rest in peace.
The industry lost a very talented writer. More importantly, the world lost a truly lovely person. My condolences to Matt, her friends and family. RIP at home in WA Aislinn. PK.
