News Limited AWARD School Graduation Sydney
Last night marked the Student Graduation of the 26th year of AWARD School, held at The Loft, Sydney.
Hosted by AWARD Chairman, Richard Maddocks, AWARD School co-heads Rebecca Carrasco and Paul Bruce, and Garth Agius from News Limited, the evening allowed the finest creatives, sponsors, students and media to view an exhibition of students’ top work.
The top AWARD School student in Sydney went to Nick White (top left) who will now go forward for international judging against students across Australasia. These winners will be announced in the coming weeks.
Second place went to Joshua Fraser, while Fiona Cox placed third (middle pic with Nick White).
These students, along with remaining top 10; Rebecca Alperstein, Oliver Beeston, Tom Gibson, Simone Parravicini, Erwin Santoso, Andy Wallace and Michael Widgery will be involved in a two day workshop held later in the year with The LaB Sydney and Revolver Film.
AWARD will also offer the AWARD Mentor program to top 11-30 students; Derek Anderson, Michael Avery, Craig Brooks, Brad Cohen, Jerry Cs Uhm, Karen Ferry, Michael Harris, Micaela Hambrett, Nima Idelkhani, Archana Murugaser, Dominic Nolan, Collette Rowland, Clint Sawyer, Indah Shillingford, Alexandra Skougarevsky, Nikola Spadina, Anthony Stroud, Dhani Sutanto, Paul Zantiotis and Zuzana Zaloudek.
The judging panel responsible for selection of the top students and the ‘work on the wall’ included: Paul Bruce & Richard Morgan – BMF, Rebecca Carrasco & Dejan Rassic – CRC, Guy Rooke – Clemenger BBDO, Matt Eastwood – DDB Sydney, Matty Burton – Droga5, James Procter – George Patterson Y&R, Jay Benjamin & Andy Dilallo – Leo Burnett Sydney.

Out of the top 30 in our year only 8 have jobs. Only 4 have good jobs.
