Stuart Vidler and Andrew Charles to Ogilvy

Copywriter Stuart Vidler (pictured) and art director Andrew Charles are joining Ogilvy Sydney as the first new hires made by Russell Smyth, who was appointed creative director on Telstra in April.
Vidler has most recently been creative director of Salmon Stew Creative, an independent creative consultancy to the advertising, digital and media industries started in February 2004. From 2007-2009 he was ECD at retail shop, IdeaWorks.
Charles has been working as a freelance creative director at TBWA\Tequila Hong Kong and before that as creative director at Black Pencil, Dubai.

Before we tear them down as ancient, unknown hacks, let’s see what they come up with. First impression is that they seem appropriate, mature hires for a difficult account.
