As part of the Google forum at SXSW in Austin, Texas, KLIPPBOK was invited to feature in a showcase of brands and agencies that are successfully embracing the evolution of advertising mediums, curated by Los Angeles agency 72andSunny.

Says Ben Cooper, director of digital at The Monkeys: “SXSW is the barometer of trends shaping our industry, so seeing KLIPPBOK featured there is the ultimate accolade. It’s early days, but the app has already got a heap of praise as users can see the potential.”

Since its launch in November 2012, KLIPPBOK has achieved almost 50,000 downloads in 100 countries – 20,000 in Australia alone. With minimal media support.

It has been profiled in Creative Sandbox, Google’s online showcase of campaigns that blend creative genius with digital innovation, and was voted FWA’s (Favourite Website Awards) Mobile app of the Day on 26 December.

IKEA Australia’s KLIPPBOK (Swedish for ‘scrapbook’) is a utility that allows people to engage with IKEA products whenever inspiration strikes, easily sharing their ideas with family and friends. The scrapbooking tool inspires people to try new ideas and experiment with decorating in their own home, and is a first for IKEA Australia.

Says Cooper: “Thirty five per cent of the Australian population now own tablets, so KLIPPBOK is a perfect inspiration tool that empowers anyone to play with home design via IKEA products.”
