Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras appoints Holler as new digital creative consultants to boost brand
Sydney-based digital agency, Holler, has been hired as digital creative consultants by
SGLMG to assist in developing revenue opportunities and wider engagement for the Mardi
Gras brand.
Says Merran Morton, Holler’s general manager: “We’re delighted to be working alongside such an iconic Australian brand and be given such a high level remit to solve business problems at their root cause.”
The partnership formed following the success of Holler’s recent project, ‘The Rainbow Code’.
Acting as a digital petition for equality, The Rainbow Code was crafted in response to the DIY
Rainbow Crossing Movement that emerged in Sydney following the 35th Sydney Gay &
Lesbian Mardi Gras.
Holler has been tasked with increasing international understanding of SGLMG, as well as
identifying and developing new commercial opportunities to ensure long-term sustainability for
the not-for-profit organization.
Says Mike Hill, Holler’s Co-CEO: “Mardi Gras have an incredible brand locally and internationally. The exciting part of this engagement for me is Holler’s remit to focus on solving core business challenges, not just creative campaigns.”
Says James Rongen-Hall, Mardi Gras’ festival producer and senior marketing manager:
“As a fellow creative organisation, Holler have an innate understanding of our values and our
aspirations for Mardi Gras. We’re genuinely excited to be working together to develop Mardi
Gras to it’s full potential as a global beacon of LGBTQI pride, and I have no doubt that
Holler’s expertise will be a huge asset for our organisation well into the future.”
