Darwin Tomlinson to depart executive CD role at Tribal Worldwide Sydney to return to the US

Darwin_2[1].jpgTribal Worldwide Sydney ECD, Darwin Tomlinson and managing director Phil Dowgierd – who were both appointed in March last year – are both departing the agency to return to their respective homelands in the US and UK respectively.

US born Tomlinson was formerly deputy ECD of DDB Sydney, joining the agency in 2012 from The White Agency, where he was executive creative director and headed-up the award-winning Commonwealth Bank Property Finder Mobile App.

UK born Dowgierd joined the DDB Group from AKQA (UK) where he led the global Nissan business managing a team of 60 focusing on global platform development, global social activity and mobile work. Prior to AKQA, Dowgierd held positions at Grand Union, Fallon and M&C Saatchi where he worked across multiple media platforms and gained significant experience in a breadth of product sectors including automotive (Skoda), retail (Sainsburys, Best Buy and Boots), media (BBC & Sky) and alcohol (Foster’s lager).

Phil has been instrumental in the repositioning of Tribal Sydney over the past 12 months and we wish him and his family the best of luck as they return home. We are pleased to announce that incumbent Tribal Melbourne Managing Director, Rich Lloyd, will be relocating to Sydney to head up Tribal Sydney’s offering. Since joining the group last year, Rich has been integral to the immense success of Tribal, including DDB Melbourne’s award winning RSL ‘Minute of Silence’ Campaign.

 

“Matt Oxley will take over the leadership reigns of Tribal Melbourne. Matt has worked closely with Rich to take Tribal Melbourne to the forefront of our digital and technological positioning and to better reflect his integrated role across the entire group in Melbourne, his position has been redefined as Head of Technology.

“In a month of returning to foreign shores Tribal ECD Darwin Tomlinson has also decided to return home to his native US. Over the past three years Darwin has played a key role in the evolution of the digital creative offering of DDB Group Sydney and we also wish him al the best with his next move. His successor will be announced in the coming weeks.”
