Banter has hired account director, Erin Kelso, fresh from a stint in the UK at leading experiential agency, RPM. Kelso spent her time in the UK working on two of Britain’s most-loved brands, Tesco and Cadbury.

Her experience comes at a crucial time for the business with Banter recently being appointed by Cadbury to handle experiential duties for its Christmas campaign following a competitive pitch. Banter is working in partnership with Saatchi & Saatchi, Carat and iD Collective to deliver joy throughout the Christmas period.

‘Say it with Sandwiches’, an integrated activation-led campaign was Banter’s first major campaign, in partnership with Hausmann Communications. The campaign for Helga’s saw a different kind of approach to one-to-one engagement, giving people the chance to send a limited-edition gourmet sandwich to someone for $6, delivered by one of the many Helga’s branded scooters on the roads.

Continuing on the foodie theme, the team is busy working with Monde Nissin to deliver Black Swan Beta at Taste of Melbourne in November. Black Swan Beta will showcase the past, present and future of the brand via a laboratory and revolving conveyor bar, giving Taste visitors the chance to create their own dip and yoghurt.

The agency has partnered with leading life-insurance brand, TAL, to deliver TAL SpotChecker, a series of activations giving people a free skin check, to help drive the agenda of early detection and prevention.

Says Paul Den, partner, Banter: “TAL is committed to helping the community celebrate and protect ‘This Australian Life’. Sometimes, living this life can come at a cost. Melanoma is the most common cancer in Australians between the ages of 15-19, but early detection can save lives. We’re thrilled to be working with TAL offering beach-goers of Bondi and Newcastle a free skin check.”
