After less that two years CommBank marketing chief Andy Lark resigns for new opportunities
Andy Lark, the chief marketing officer of CommBank, is set to leave after less than two years in the role for new opportunities.
Lark made the announcement on his Daily Lark blog this morning.
Lark took the CommBank role in June 2011, filling the vacuum left by the departure of Mark Buckman to Telstra at the end of 2010.
Soon after starting Lark appointed M&C Saatchi Sydney to the brand business, taking it off Goodby Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco, reversing a controversial decision made by Buckman in 2007.
In May 2012 the ‘CommBank Can’ campaign launched and in August the bank apologised for a controversial ‘Bomb Hoax’ ad created by M&C Saatchi, an ad that Lark said at the time was not approved.

Appears a lot of interest in this ‘news’
Like the bomb hoax ad, at least in Andy Lark’s estimation, this report of his departure, ust doesn’t seem to be newsworthy.
