Following its inclusion on the prestigious Qantas roster, CB has contacted New York-based Aussie expat Nick Law, R/GA’s chief creative officer, who was in Sydney last week.
Law told CB he is delighted to be on the roster and assures us that it won’t be too long before R/GA opens up a Sydney office. CB guesses to will be early next year.
Rob Greenberg (above right, with Law in the latest print issue of Campaign Brief), R/GA chairman, CEO and global chief creative officer, first revealed plans for a Sydney office in an exclusive live video interview with CB during D&AD week in London back in April.

The ranks of Tequila and Droga 5 digital are surely about to be pilfered. As far as in-coming agencies go, this is a game changer.
This is great for the Australian market. They’ll demonstrate the current crop of local “digital leaders” are total frauds. Especially poseurs from the big shops.
Good luck to them: they’re arriving in the most digitally backwards country with the most conservative clients.
Tequila’s had its ranks pilfered for the last several years, especially since the new leadership joined. There’s only one creative left I’d hire, and I bet they’re already on to him. All the good producers and suits from their golden years are guns for hire.
That’s a weird comment as no digital creatives have left since the new leadership?
Actually come to think of it one has but he was doing all the Melbourne stuff.
A lot did leave a while before hand though and two of them in particular have gone on to create great work, one at Droga5 NYC and the other at Droga5 Sydney.
New leadership of Tequila management, not creative department or TBWA.
