Encouragement Award entries close Friday
Entries to AWARD’s long-standing tribute to unparalleled junior creative stars, the Encouragement Award, CLOSES THIS FRIDAY 23 OCTOBER, with the winner presented on stage at the AWARD Awards presentation evening on November 12th, 2009.
The Encouragement Award has honored young creatives since 1992, recognising those who have demonstrated an outstanding ability to answer briefs with a freshness of thought and creativity.
Previous winners include Sylvianne Heim, Tania Burkett, Lynett Chang, Cos Luccitti, Pic Andrews,Ted Royer (pictured above right), Melissa Marsh, Dejan Rasic (below left), Damien Eley, Scott Harris, Leo Premutico (left), Wendy Lawn, Hywel James, Guy Rooke (pictured top right), Linda Honen, Hilary Badger, Rebecca Carrasco (pictured), Derrick Kim, Heather Green, Hamish Spencer, Iggy Rodriguez and Brett Colliver.
Entries will be judged by AWARD’s chairman Richard Maddocks, ECD Clemenger BBDO Sydney and AWARD’s Chairman of Judges Craig Davis, co chairman and chief creative officer, Publicis Mojo Australasia.
Eligibility Criteria – Deadline, Midday, Friday 23rd October 2009, absolutely no extensions
• Maximum three years in an agency creative department
• Teams and individuals can enter
• Nominations taken by Creative Directors or Agency Management only
• Australian and New Zealand Applicants only
Submissions – as jpeg, mpeg and word.doc/pdfs. Max 4MB per file, to be submitted on CD only. Email submissions will not be accepted.
• Four examples of the entrant’s work; aired or published within the last 18 months
• One Written reference from Creative Director or Agency Management – .doc or pdf
• Entrant’s biography – .doc or pdf

Focus on doing good work instead of winning awards. Funnily enough, it works.
I think this is an awesome award. We’re in advertising, so why some wouldn’t you want to market yourself?
