BNZ launches new ‘The Power of a Dollar’ campaign via Colenso BBDO New Zealand
Last year, BNZ and Colenso BBDO started a conversation with New Zealand by asking ‘Is money good, or is money bad?’ and concluding that it’s neither, it’s what you do with it. It’s time to inspire people again, with the unlimited amount of good that can be done with money, if it’s simply kept moving.
This next chapter in the journey, ‘The Power of a Dollar’ brings the concept of money into sharp focus again. It sets the scene for BNZ to show New Zealanders more ways they can be good with money, so they can do good things with it.
Says Nick Worthington, creative chairman of Colenso BBDO: “When you spend money, you think it’s gone but it isn’t, it keeps on going. It never loses its power, it just changes hands from one person to the next. The more it moves, the more good it can do.’
Craig Herbison, BNZ’s chief marketing officer, is thrilled with the result.
Says Herbison: “True to our commitment to helping New Zealanders be good with money, The Power of a Dollar provides an inspiring theme for our communications over the coming months.
“This is the result of a great team, great collaboration and really great work.”

Ok, I rate Colenso up there with the rest of the world, but the idea is EXACTLY the same as the Lord of War intro…
So after this I was all like, “I might watch the Lord of War intro on youtube, maybe it’s just a coinci… THE FIRST SHOT IS THE VERY SAME SHOT.”
Yes, yes, *CLAPpity-CLAP* for shooting a beautiful spot for a bank that used to deal in pigs, and doing something that stands out and blah blah blah… but you’ve copied two things for BNZ in a row now (AOL UK GOOD INTERNET vs BAD INTERNET).
First Beyonce lip syncs the American national anthem and now this…
such a beautifully made spot but none of the words actually make a jot of sense. also, what’s aldewminyum bronze?
