Droga5 Australia chairman David Nobay has some well-placed publicity for his play Moving Parts in this weekend’s SMH, snaring the cover of the Spectrum section.
In the story, lead actor of Moving Parts Colin Friels, aged 61, says Nobby’s play will be his last, which hopefully will ensure the play, which opens at NIDA in Sydney on Thursday July 25, is sold out.
Moving Parts, which finishes its run on Saturday 10 August, is directed by Revolver’s Steve Rogers via production company Will O_Rourke.
Moving Parts is a 2-hander, a darkly comic thriller, set in an exclusive London shop, where a young man consults a salesman, in his quest for the perfect watch. Their discussion about the perfect timepiece becomes a fight to reconcile past, present and future. It is a story that takes us deep into the heart of the human condition, on a journey into a relationship that has broken.

Oh really smart move Colin, forget Shakespeare, Mailer and Pinter.
I’m so pleased to have attended this play. “Enjoyed” seems wrong to describe the way it got me “in”.
