I saw the glass execution on the freeway with an apostrophe in the word ITS. Tut tut.
The worst
Very so-so and cliched. Coopers deserves better. For a start, the work should be witty, funny and charming. Perhaps it was worth spending more than 10 minutes on this job. I wish I could be more positive.
Cool puns.
When writing headlines, it’s nice to be witty and/or relevant. “Streets ahead and right up your alley” is demonstrably neither. It’s not relevant – what does beer have to do with thoroughfares? Not much, unless you count DUI or getting so drunk that you pass out in the gutter, and neither of those is particularly helpful to your client’s cause. In terms of wit, you’ve simply aggregated two well known idioms. In the context of beer, it doesn’t mean anything, it doesn’t have an idea. It’s just cringeworthy, lazy garbage. Work harder.
These manage to all say absolutely nothing. Well done.
Time for Coopers to change their ad agency!
