Dentsu Aegis Network appoints Catherine Krantz to the position of head of diversity and inclusion
Dentsu Aegis Network ANZ has announced the appointment of long-standing Carat employee, Catherine Krantz, into the newly created role of Dentsu Aegis Network head of diversity and inclusion.
The move reaffirms the communications network’s ongoing commitment to championing diverse and inclusive thinking that generates better outcomes for its clients, people, partners and communities.
In her capacity as Dentsu Aegis Network head of diversity and inclusion, Krantz will support the network’s executive leadership team as they implement a number of initiatives designed to create positive change across the ANZ business.
To ensure the evolution of Dentsu Aegis Network’s approach to the subject, the group has established a Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council. Comprised of people from across the network led by Krantz, the Advisory Council promises to shape and drive the Diversity &
Inclusion agenda in each brand and function.
Krantz – a founding member of Carat – has been a well-respected member of the Carat team for more than 16 years. During this time, Krantz has been at the forefront of cultivating an inclusive culture, including flexible working and driving diversity of thought within the leadership team.
Says Simon Ryan, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network ANZ: “This appointment marks a significant milestone for our business. We believe that with a focus on creative thinking, diversity of perspectives, approaches and backgrounds our clients, talent and business will deliver
outstanding results. Catherine’s proven track record in spearheading and fostering a diverse and inclusive culture gave me confidence in her ability to lead the way as Dentsu Aegis Network’s first Head of Diversity & Inclusion. I look forward to supporting Catherine as we make progress.”
Says Krantz: “It’s both a huge privilege and responsibility to take on this role. I am excited to work in partnership with the Diversity & Inclusion Council and Executive Leadership Team as we continue to build a culture that brings out the best of our people by recognising and celebrating everyone as individuals.”

Wow Dentsu…how dynamic you are!
Slow news day
As a female in the ad industry, I find this interesting and relevant. It’s not slow news at all. Well done Denstu Aegis. I hope this is the start of a trend. @setting the world on fire perhaps you should find some other privileged men to go talk to about other privileged men with.
Congrats Dentsu and Catherine. There’s been so much industry talk about diversity, it’s always great to see an agency doing something tangible.
Ummm @ refreshing….I actually am one of those other worldly creatures called a woman…and I am actually tired of all this over correction. Consider yourself corrected.
@Setting the world on fire
Then I feel saddened that you choose derision over silence.
The problem of our age is that authoritarianism has become so…nice.
Congrats Catherine (CK) – after 16 years of such hard work you deserve to be recognised as the champion of people that you already are. Carat are super lucky to have you in such an important role. #jealous
Sharp suit. Slimmer cut a treat. Check fabric a new twist on a classic.
Disappointed there’s no sign of Simon’s signature pocket square.
[And gents, that’s how you tie a tie – none of this silly Windsor knot rubbish].
More white people telling us about diversity please.
