Domain appoints The Works following six-way shoot-out; replaces incumbent Whybin\TBWA
Australia’s prominent destination for property seekers, Domain has appointed The Works as lead creative agency.
The Sydney-based independent won the account following a competitive pitch after an exhaustive search involving six other agencies and replaces incumbent Whybin\TBWA.
The Works will manage creative innovation and strategy and will start effective immediately.
Domain is part of the Fairfax Media Network real estate portfolio and is one of Australia’s most recognised and trusted destinations for property seekers. Providing tools and information for buyers, sellers and renters Australia wide, Domain can be accessed online at Domain.com.au and in over 200 metropolitan, regional and community newspapers.
Says Douglas Nicol, creative partner of The Works: “The Domain brand is undergoing an exciting chapter of its development and it’s excellent to be working with a client who has such strong market presence backed by great commercial drive.”
Says Matt Siddons, marketing director for Real Estate Fairfax Media: “The Works demonstrated a thorough understanding of our business and what it will take to achieve our goals; they impressed us with their commitment towards creativity at the forefront of their thinking. We look forward to working with them to help further shape the Domain brand.”
The win follows a great year for The Works that has added major accounts wins including NRMA, Tetley, Sunbeam, Michelle Bridges and Keno.

The Swann effect just keeps on rolling on.
Haven’t The Works already lost Keno ?
congrats mark! good early win
Boyz on fire!
Well done to the Works but does a client really need to engage six agencies in a pitch process? Taking the piss there surely.
Whats’ happened to Whybins?
Didn’t pitch
Whether they pitched it or not Whybin TBWA have lost another one.
Have won more to replace it.
Hence the no pitch.
Rumour has it they’re losing more than business…
