To launch the high quality TV channel TNT in Belgium Duval Guillaume Modem placed a big red push button on an average Flemish square of an average Flemish town. A sign with the text “Push to add drama” invited people to use the button. And then they waited…
The video of the stunt has gone viral – big time – with over 10 million YouTube hits in just one day.

Absolute utter quality. Wish I did it.
want to hate, have to love.
flash mob without dancers.

It’s an ad. Not a stunt.
God damn love it. Deserves every bit of shiny metal it’ll undoubtedly get.
But out of interest, I’d still love to see the real results for the channel locally vs YouTube hits.
I love how they just stood there in the middle of it all while gunshots went off.
Very nicely done.
Pure Gold!!!
All you need is a client with balls in Australia to press the go button.
Beautifully simple + well executed = big award haul
There are 7 billion people on earth. So far 20 million of them have watched this viral commercial on Youtube. Impressive. But consider this. Only 1 in every 700 people on earth live in Belgium. Do the math and it works out that just 29 thousand Belgiuns have seen the clip on Youtube –– assuming that it was watched equally per capita per country worldwide. Only 29 thousand viewers in the actual target market area looking at this expensive production? That’s pretty crap. Even if you factor in topicality and allow that they they got 100,000 or even 200,000 Youtube viewers in Belgium it’d still be almost useless in terms of reach. They’d have been better off running the comercial as a paid-for spot on old fashioned Belgium telly.
