Expedia highlights its no booking fees in latest integrated campaign via DDB Sydney
A continuation of Expedia’s brand promise – ‘out there starts here’ – Expedia has launched a new integrated campaign and TVC via DDB Sydney, which puts the viewer in the mind of a woman discovering her inner cowgirl in a moment of clarity, thanks to Expedia’s policy of ‘no booking fees’.
Says Dylan Harrison, executive creative director at DDB Sydney: “One of the great things about a holiday is you find yourself doing things you never dreamed you would. With Expedia’s promise of ‘no booking fees’, this happens even easier. It’s amazing how everyone has a ‘holiday thrills’ story to tell.”
The print element of the campaign takes an alternative approach and, through the illustrations of Sean Freeman, playfully points to the experiences people can have thanks to Expedia and its commitment to keeping the cost of travel down.
Says Lou Crompton, Expedia marketing director: “The new campaign is true to Expedia’s belief in providing both the inspiration and the means to help people get out there to see the amazing world we live in. Our policy of ‘no booking fees’ is a key part of that commitment.”
The integrated campaign is now live and runs across TV, cinema, digital, out of home, print and social media.

Me likey! Damn fine job Adam and Guy. Well done. Love the Morricone-esque music.
Maybe its that the sound mix is so bad, but i struggle to understand this ad. I know Expedia and have had a good experience with them in the past, all of which makes me even more annoyed at what seems to me to be a confusing piece of communication.
Really nice work. Expedia’s the only travel brand in Australia producing decent ads. Well done.
Unintelligible rubbish. Beyond comprehension. Some of the worst work to grace screens this month.
Saw this on the telly tonight. Liked it. Stood out like donkey’s balls.
This ad makes no sense, just like the Yellow Pages ads on air. Why clients are paying for this rubbish is beyond me.
Um, looks like a pretty simple idea to me. A woman has an incredible experience on holiday because Expedia doesn’t charge booking fees. Doesn’t need much more explanation than that. It looks pretty and the creatives probably got an awesome shoot out of it. Lucky mofos.
I wouldn’t have described riding on a donkey with the sun beating down on you in what looks like partial desert as an incredible experience. Certainly not in the sense of ‘incredible’ you mean.
Looks like a holiday experience that has gone wrong to me. That’s the confusing bit. Agree with ‘Come On’, this ad makes no sense.
Awesome job guys. Simple thought executed well. Love it.

I would love to go to Mexico to shoot an ad with my buddies and a great production company like these guys.
