Former Clemenger BBDO legends Duster and Peter Biggs lured to run Assignment Group
Assignment Group has scooped up former Clemenger BBDO Wellington MD/ECD Philip ‘Duster’ Andrew (above left) and Clemenger BBDO Melbourne CEO Peter Biggs (above right) to run the agency, which has offices in both Auckland and Wellington.
Biggs will be CEO of the group, Duster will be ECD while Assignment Group chairman Peter Cullinane will remain in that role.
Duster told CB: “Both Biggsy and I have started back in the business and we are both excited about what we can bring to the next phase of Assignment Group. While Assignment founder Peter Cullinane will remain involved at a Chairman level, Peter and I are heading up the group across Auckland and Wellington.
“Respected senior partners, Howard Grieve, Kim Thorpe, Martin Yeoman and Aimee McCammon will continue working with us.
“I apologise for the lack of hoopla about our arrival here. We are completely focused on our clients success so we won’t be seeking attention for ourselves.”
Duster departed Clems in April after 25 years, while Biggs left Clemenger BBDO Melbourne in September 2014 after 15 years.
Andrew is one of the most accomplished and awarded leaders in this industry. His drive to defend, hero and believe in the creative industry in Wellington, has resulted in Clemenger BBDO producing consistently world-leading, effective, creative work for its clients.

Therein lies the answer to many of the agency world’s ills.
These two fellas are the best in the business, together they are absolutely unstoppable. They know how to get the best out of their people and their clients. Watch this space! Well done D & Biggsy!
I agree with you Mark, they will be a great combination.
Worked with both of them.
Im not an agency guy at all either by Nature or experience. Im IT.
I found Duster an inspiring, encouraging, passionate, and intellectual backbone.
I found Peter a true inspring leader, Id follow him into a fire.
The two of them together is a complimenting mix, I have never seen the like of.
Im not making this up.
