To help get the Good Books word out their amazing creative partners, String Theory, Auckland developed this unique and literary way to tell the Good Books story. A loving, animated homage to the High Priest of Gonzo and one of the most original talents ever to put ink to a page – Hunter S Thompson.

Nice work lads – thats some snappy hunter-esque scribbling.
Love it!
Nicely done, guys.
No love for the design/animation house?
From the link — “Though we humbly suggest Hunter S might have liked it.”
Seen the bit in the “Breakfast With Hunter” doco where Hunter kicks director Alex Cox out of his house for proposing an animated sequence for “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”, thereby losing him the directing gig?
Sure, Hunter would have *loved* this spot.
Hunter had a network of big, ugly lawyers. Anyone know what Anita Thompson thinks of this? Did anyone care to find out?
Bring me the popcorn, I’m gonna enjoy this show.
Beautifully done, mind you — though totally contrary to how HST saw himself. He was one of the sharpest political writers of the 20th century and ended up hating the Raoul Duke albatross that he’d slung around his neck which, maybe, ultimately sunk him.
Yeah, he’d fucking love this spot, alright.
It was all buck.tv
