Grey Melbourne lands Bulla business + launches Cloud 9 outdoor campaign ‘Frozen in the clouds’
CB Exclusive: Grey Melbourne has been appointed agency of record for Bulla Dairy Foods, a leading Australian dairy manufacturer based in Melbourne.
Trusted and loved by Australian families since 1910, Bulla is family owned and has been run by the same three families for six generations.
Grey has handled the digital business for Bulla since June 2011. The recent appointment will see Grey handle the entire account with the creative mandate extending to all of Bulla’s product categories – namely frozen yoghurt, ice cream, chilled yoghurt and cream.
Now tasked to manage Bulla’s overall communications, Grey will deliver an integrated approach to the strategy with digital playing a pivotal role.
Says Luke Waldren, chief executive officer: “We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with Bulla; they place enormous value on ideas. Our recent work for them was driven by our shared belief in creativity, the importance of insight and a fondness of ice cream.”
Grey’s recent campaigns have launched Cloud 9 into the world of Super Premium Frozen Yoghurt by freezing yoghurt in the clouds.
They also extended a global search for home-sick Aussies with their Bring em’ Home campaign for Bulla Creamy Classics. Entrants uploaded their stories via Facebook and told Bulla why they were the most deserving. The winners became the stars of a four-part mini series and their stories celebrated how Bulla brings families together at home.

Congrats guys.
Fantastic idea.
Makes for interesting content.
Good looking pictures Will O. Nothing to hate here. I’m just glad someone put something into the sky for a reason.
I usually say things are good but this is great!
Interesting idea for sure. Quite different for Grey, quite different for anyone really. Will ORourke handle this stuff well every time.

I was like, yeah, yeah, whatever. Had a look at the # turns out it was quite a thing. How come I never heard about it. I like frozen yoghurt. I’ve eaten Cloud 9.
I’m a blogger, well I photograph my lunch. Does that count. Nice work young bastards. Schmick as.
What’s cooler than being cool? Nice work, Grey.
Like our Cannes Lion winning ad, Space Chair for Toshiba.
Nice stuff G. Top marks for pulling it off and extra points for selling it in the first place. I agree with the good looking pictures. Normally this stuff looks rough.
Congratulations on the win. I know there are a couple of ice cream eaters there who’ll make the most of product samples.
Sounds like @Subtext has eaten his fair share of the sour grapes flavour.
Nice win.
