timetoshine.jpgOn the eve of the 2013/14 Hyundai A-League season launch, FOX SPORTS has unveiled its biggest ever marketing campaign titled a ‘Time to Shine’ via agency Disciple.

Following the most successful season in A-League history – which captured unprecedented interest and smashed crowd attendance figures and television ratings records – the campaign communicates that football in Australia has come of age and this summer it’s the A-League’s Time to Shine.

Developed in collaboration with Sydney-based creative agency Disciple, the fully integrated campaign uses traditional marketing – both on and off the subscription television platform, PR, digital and social media to promote FOX SPORTS’ extensive coverage of the Hyundai A-League.

The campaign brings together elite national and international A-League players, including stars such as Sydney FC’s Alessandro Del Piero and Newcastle’s Emile Heskey as well as Melbourne Heart marquee signing, Harry Kewell, to showcase the unique skill and showmanship of our football stars.

Shot against the backdrop of some of Australia’s most picturesque locations, the TVC shows the players scoring seemingly impossible goals at moving targets while print and digital executions capture the players in the traditional celebratory football pose with arms out and palms pointed to the heavens.

FOX SPORTS is gearing up for another blockbuster season following last year’s record-breaking competition which was the most watched in the eight-year history of the league with more than 2.8 million viewers tuning into FOX SPORTS’ LIVE coverage.

In 2013/14, Australia’s Sports Leader will once again deliver LIVE and HIGH DEFINITION coverage of every match beginning with the season opening Friday night clash between Sydney FC and Newcastle Jets on October 11.

FOX SPORTS coverage will once again be spearheaded by the nation’s premier football commentary team featuring former Socceroos and English Premier League stars Mark Bosnich and Robbie Slater, alongside the voice of Australian football Simon Hill.

A collection of the game’s premier analysts and commentators will also return for the new season including Andy Harper, Adam Peacock, Mark Rudan, Michael Zappone, Mike Cockerill, Brenton Speed, Gary Phillips, Jamie Harnwell, Nick Meredith, and Daniel Garb.

FOX SPORTS welcomes a new face to its established football team in presenter Tara Rushton who will co-host the Friday night preview show Kick Off alongside Andy Harper premiering Friday 11 October at 6.30pm EST.

On Saturdays, Adam Peacock will once again be joined by Mark Bosnich and Mark Rudan for Hyundai Matchday Saturday, keeping fans across all the action as it unfolds on the league’s biggest game day, with up to three LIVE matches featuring each round on Saturday.

Peacock and Bosnich will then return on Sunday nights to deliver a fun and relaxed one-hour review of the round on Sunday Shootout. The show will also feature regular guests including big name players and coaches from the across the league as well as celebrities and the popular comic duo The B-League.

The fun will continue on Monday nights with the introduction of a new panel-style show Santo, Sam and Ed’s Total Football. Hosted by well-known comic and football tragic Santo Cilauro, alongside Ed Kavalee and Sam Pang, the program will take a light-hearted look at the moments and personalities that made up the week in football across the globe.
