LOUD appoints Christian Kernot as associate creative director and Kiah Barker as art director
CB Exclusive – Following its recent restructure and the appointment of Steven Thomson as executive creative director/partner, LOUD has today announced further additions to the agency’s creative ranks.
Christian Kernot has joined the agency as associate creative director and Kiah Barker has been appointed art director.
Kernot joins LOUD from Y&R Group’s specialist agency Blaze Advertising where he was senior copywriter. Over the past thirteen years Kernot has worked at a variety of agencies including M&C Saatchi and Ideaworks.
Says Thomson: “It’s great to have a talent such as Christian on board. As well as being a writer’s writer, he’s also one of the funniest people I know.”
AWARD School and UTS Visual Communications graduate Barker joins LOUD full-time following a highly productive 3-month internship with the agency.
Says Thomson: “Kiah has been kicking goals at LOUD since day one and continues to inspire us with her creativity and enthusiasm. She’s definitely one to watch.”
The latest hires follow the recent appointments of Thomson and ex-Ogilvy planning director Gerry Cyron as both department heads and partners, joining existing CEO Lorraine Jokovic, and the announcement of Paul Bennell as creative director.

HAND.
Awesome, well done.
like R/GA, it seems like everyone has some sort of CD in their title. I see the title or some sort of title of CD is give out willy nilly these days. Good if you can get it.
hope he buys an iron with the promotion money
Well done Kiah. Definitely one to watch.
Go Kernot!
It’s definitely your round x
If everyone there is a creative director then why has one above just been appointed ‘art director’? You obviously don’t have the title of proofreader
Can’t wait to see all the amazing work these new hires will be putting out!
Wish we had an art director that looks like that.
Boom! Congrats Kiah!
‘The Force is strong with Christian…’ well done mate, a Señor… no more
best of luck to the new hires, God knows the last mob dug them a big hole to get out of.
