Melbourne creative Adrian Elton only Aussie finalist in Porn Hub’s search for a global CD
Melbourne creative, Adrian Elton has made the final 15 in a worldwide search for a global creative director for industry leading website – Porn Hub.
Elton entered the competition off the back of a chat with fellow Award School graduates Grant Richard Krupp and Adam Krongold. They subsequently got together the night before entries closed and pulled an all-nighter that seems to have paid off.
Elton entered the competition with some witty and laterally thought through executions that seemed to have cut through and caught the eyes of voters. Out of 1,200 entrants, Elton is the only Australian to reach the final 15.
Porn Hub is the world’s largest porn website in terms of daily visits – 35 million a day to be precise – and Elton entered the competition as he saw it as a challenge to develop ideas for this still taboo topic that is rapidly becoming mainstream.
Porn Hub’s brief was to create a “safe for work” national media campaign to promote the brand. It will be the first mainstream campaign in its history.
Says Elton: “The brief to make a ‘safe-for-work’ ad about porn was ultimately too irresistible. As you can imagine, one thing led to another, and before too long we found ourselves in the midst of a heady conceptual ménage au trois.”
Of course, Elton is no stranger to winning these kinds of competitions having won the “Jack Links World’s Greatest Prank” last year with his ‘Pubidome’ pubic hair replacement therapy campaign.
Braced with the knowledge that he may well win this competition – Elton’s excitement is irrepressible.
Says Elton: “To win this would be a wet dream come true.”
A winner will be announced over the coming month.
