No one gets to Rio alone, every athlete has a support network. Optus has launched a new online and radio campaign in support of the Australian Olympic and Paralympic teams via The Works.
The campaign sees Optus capture real calls between 800m Olympic runner, Luke Mathews, and his sister, Olympic Synchronised Swimmer, Rose Stackpole, and her mum and 400m Olympic runner, Anneliese Rubie, and her aunty.

Anyone else feeling supremely inspired and patriotic by every Olympic ad in every break? Not me, I’m afraid. As a cynic, unfortunately I just feel like puking.
Old CD guy. You’ve had your time. Too much time, maybe.
As a young CD dude I actually like these. They feel honest.
Will they win awards? Probably not, but they carry good feelings. Feelings Old CD Guy is no longer capable of feeling.
I’m old too, but like these – way more than the earlier Usain Bolt false start. And created at a fraction of the cost, no doubt.
Old CD guy, thanks for sharing your insightful and inspiring cynicism.
Of all the Olympics ads these are a stand out. A nice range of real emotion and all shot nicely.
