Harvey Norman’s ‘Sale’ voted worst ad of 2010 in Fair Go Awards, Toyota’s ‘Believe’ wins best ad

Toyotabelieve.pngHarvey Norman’s ‘Sale’ was voted the worst ad of the year in NewZealand’s 2010 Fair Go Awards, which screened on TV One last night.Garnering 31 per cent of the vote, it beat second place winners Sky’s ‘Happy Place’ by DDB and Tower’s ‘Sexy Lawnmowing’ with 25 per cent of the votes. Cigna’s ‘Funeral’ scored 19 per cent.

Toyota’s ‘Believe’ by Saatchi & Saatchi was the clear favourite for Best Ad of the Year with 47 percent of votes. Genesis ‘Pukeko’ by Draft/FCB got 30 per cent of the votes for Best Ad of the Year, followed by Instant Kiwi ‘Believe it or not’ by DDB with 12 per cent of the vote and Tower’s Insurance’s ‘Brian and Lisa’ from AIM Proximity got 11 per cent.

The finalists are decided by email nominations from the public with the best and worst ads then chosen by text vote.
