OMD Australia ranks #1 media agency in size in RECMA’s 2018 Overall Activity Volume Rankings

Aimee-Buchanan-web.jpgOMD Australia has taken the top spot for Australia’s Number 1 media agency in size, according to RECMA’s 2018 ‘Overall Activity Volume Rankings’ report released last week.

Additionally, the company was named first in profile classification with a dominant profile for the 3rd consecutive year, along with vitality ranking and structure ranking. Furthermore, OMD Australia were also named first in ‘number of big advertisers’, with McDonald’s, Qantas, Coles, Telstra, Village Roadshow, TAB and Esteé Lauder Companies all long standing clients.

These results are underpinned by an incredibly successful 18 months for OMD Australia. They have importantly retained existing clients such as Beiersdorf and have won a number of new clients, including NSW Government, Belong, Simplot, UBET, TripAdvisor, Queensland McDonald’s and consolidated Qantas International. OMD Australia also won the Campaign Asia Talent Team of the Year, the MFA People and Culture Initiative award, as well as the B&T Women in Media Employer of The Year award and were named as one of AFR’s Top 100 Innovative Companies in AU/NZ.

OMD Australia’s parent company, Omnicom Media Group, were also named joint first in the group ranking.

Data is collated from more than 1400 media agencies in 90 countries to provide strategic intelligence to help the top 500 global advertisers in their decision-making and agency sourcing.

 

The report, conducted annually, takes into consideration overall agency billings, staff headcount, and year-on-year growth rate.
