P&O Cruises launches new TVC part of its ‘Like No Place on Earth’ campaign via Bashful
Creative agency Bashful today revealed the new “Like No Place on Earth” campaign for P&O Cruises, with a 90-second cinema spot, 30 and 15 second TVCs, digital advertising and OOH.
The campaign builds on the ‘Like No Place On Earth’ brand platform and follows the appointment of Bashful to the full strategic and creative account in August 2016.
Recognising that P&O brings together myriad destinations, experiences and services that no other single destination can offer, Bashful re-imagined the world of P&O as an actual place.
After boarding at Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal, guests enter a place that will sail them across the seas, a place full of fun and adventure. A place that is Like No Place on Earth.
Says Simon Cheng, vice president – sales, marketing and PR for P&O Cruises: “We are incredibly excited by the latest Like No Place on Earth campaign. We believe it is going to further cement our role not only as the leaders in cruise but as one of the leaders in Australian tourism. The campaign celebrates our unique experience and brand in a way that we believe will introduce a whole new audience to P&O Cruises.”
Says Simon Bookallil, CEO, Bashful: “P&O is one of Australia’s great brands and a clear leader in the cruise category. We feel very privileged to showcase the world of P&O and inspire a new generation of Australians to become ‘cruiselings’.”
Says Tim Chenery, creative director, Bashful: “‘Like No Place on Earth,’ is one of my favourite advertising lines. It’s so evocative and it’s so ownable for P&O. It really was the springboard for us to re-imagine the entire world of P&O Cruises as an actual place.”
The campaign will run from December to February, key months for the P&O sales calendar.

actually all of this is possible elsewhere and it just reminds me of all the beautiful places i’d rather be than on a stinking ship.
Huge vibe! Imaginative idea well executed. Nicely done, Bashful. Baby agency no more.

Not bad at all Bashful.
Nicely done..
Thought Bmf had the account? Another loss?

Really well done guys – much more sophisticated than the previous ‘cruiselings’ campaign
Lovely work all round. Congrats Sam, Lachy and Bashful!
You guys definitely aren’t bashful anymore! (Geddit??!?)
Amazing stuff. Really, amazing.
Just great, category shifting and convention breaking.
A bloody well crafted masterpiece.
More art than ad, that is for sure.
What a client, old mate Cheng! You legend.

My daddy drives a Porsche
My daddy drives a Porsche indeed.. And he has a couple more in the newly dug out garage..
Great ad for Tourism NSW! Oh hang on..
It’s a different (and not very strong one at that) idea to cruiselings.
I think Bashful should feel ashamed.
Of course I have a Porsche.
And Lou Lou, daddy thinks you’re an excellent astroturfer.
Kisses.
