New spot for SGIO via Whybin\TBWA\Tequila, Sydney features West Coast Eagles players
This Sunday, SGIC (SA) and SGIO (WA) will unveil new campaigns to promote Home Insurance, specifically the portable contents option available.
In Western Australia SGIO will run a local TVC featuring players from the West Coast Eagles. Similar to the ad running in NSW for sister brand NRMA Insurance. The spot highlights that with the Portable Contents Option on SGIO Home Insurance, you don’t have to list your portable items that are under $10,000 to ensure they’re covered.
West Coast Eagles players help insurance staff return items to their owners and interact with them. Players Josh Kennedy, Andrew Embley, Scott Selwood and Matt Priddis are featured in the ads.
The key visual device used throughout the campaign is that some of the items featured turn into blue versions of themselves to symbolise that they have been lost, broken or stolen. The campaign emphasises that many portable valuables that are lost, damaged or stolen each year.

Seriously, why would you PR this rubbish.
This brand is being destroyed: Ad by ad.
It’s a travesty.
‘similar to the NRMA ad’. Any help, I couldn’t spot the similarities?
Are Bowman & Burton still working at over there?
Can’t believe those guys would make all the scrap coming out of Whybins lately.
It’s just a rebranding of the NRMA ad for Perth. Why is Lynchy posting it?
