Not easy writing Coke spots… even if you’re the Old Spice guys.
Not easy writing Old Spice spots anymore… even if you’re the Old Spice guys.

Yeah 3:04 well spotted. And both spots so cheap and cheerful.
I’m sorry, but these guys did the best spot of last year. Pretty much everyone agrees with that, both inside and outside the industry. They’ve also did the best Skittles spots, Monster dot com spot and one of the best social media hijinks we’re likely to see in a long time.
Now there’s this spot, which is still bloody nice, and people are slagging them off.
Who gives a toss really, if any of us here had one of the ads I’ve listed above in their book they’d be a fucking rock star here and ride out the rest of their career in a corner office in Pyrmont. The only team that comes close to their measure of success in Australia are McGrath/Keogh/Rutherford.
I’m all for opinions being freely expressed, but if your opinion is this spot is shit – I hope to god you’re not my creative director.
the problem is the client.
Didn’t TBWA do Skittles?
They were at TBWA.
