Spiller calls on Corey Esse to head of integrated production role for Fallon Minneapolis
EXCLUSIVE – After almost 17 years of helping to create and craft Publicis Mojo’s award-winning TV ideas in Australia and New Zealand, head of TV Corey Esse has been lured to Fallon U.S. as head of integrated production.
Former Publicis Mojo Australia ECD Darren Spiller – now Fallon’s national CCO – said it is a huge coup for an Australian to win this role in the U.S. at an agency like Fallon: Says Spiller: “The U.S. is the land of producers and entertainment, so competition for the role was second to none.”
Esse will join the team in March to contribute to the already successful resurgence of Fallon U.S. under Spiller and his Aussie band of creatives – all ex Publicis Mojo, Melbourne.

I worked with Corey a few years back and even from a very young age he was always unflappable… and great fun too. Go Esse. See you for a drink, you old tit…

Cory’s great, but competition? Nah. Spiller’s basically reconstructed the old Mojo Melbourne around himself.
He had the job the minute Spiller landed.
he looks like one of those sleep with your eyes half open kinda guys.
Great guy and well respected. Good luck Corey but watch out for those bloody freezing winters that get to minus 20 and last for 6+ months.
Christ, he’ll be poaching the receptionist next…
Kind of makes me laugh.
In the whole of the United States at a time of unprecedented industry layoffs, Fallon needed to look to Australia to find a suitable production manager.
He must be pretty awesome.
He has. She leaves next week. Shame he can’t lure a few more people…
He is pretty awesome. Good luck Cors.
At least Spiller employs AUSTRALIANS!
Well, people who have been here for more than 5 years at least…
Great move. You can’t beat talent like Corey.
Between Spiller and Corey, the U.S air industry will back in profit in no time.
Expect some sort of Titanium entry soon.
First to Pandora wins.
On ya Corey! Aussie’s put ourselves down all the time which is so wrong. We are resourceful, hard working multi-taskers.
We are not just good at sport we have won the economic olyimpics – we aint in recession like the USA & UK. So we are not that inferior.
Of course he is awesome, he is an Esse and a very talented one at that as most of us are.
Congratulations Corey, just don’t forget to come back home.

He used to work with you Spiller…I reckon you looked as far as the Mojo Melbourne office…..and Fallon’s only news because he talks it up like they’re this massive creative behemoth.. They ain’t done shit since he’s been there…oh except some wallpaper for some car or something.
These two have a very intuitive and special relationship. I’ve seen them work together and it’s like beautiful poetry. Corey becomes an extension of Darren’s hand as they dance a pas de deux across our screens and into our hearts.
Funny.
If a yank was made head of production ANYWHERE in Australia, we’d be justifiably up in arms.
No matter how good this guy is, he has absolutely zero knowledge of the US production scene.
But it sounds like Darren and him have a ‘special’ relationship, so there ya go.
