Tabcorp launches Autumn footy + racing seasons with ‘The Action’s Calling’ via Whybins Sydney
TAB has unveiled a new campaign via Whybin\TBWA Group Sydney, which celebrates the long-awaited return of Group 1 racing as well as the AFL and NRL seasons.
The campaign taps into the insight that as good as Summer is, you can’t help feeling that something’s missing – footy and racing at the TAB.
Says Adam Lee, Whybin\TBWA’s Group head: “Australians love sport – it’s in their DNA, and Autumn is an exciting time of year for sport-loving punters. It heralds the start of the footy season, and the return of Group 1 racing with the Autumn Carnival. TAB is letting people know that Summer is over and it’s time to get back to the excitement they’ve been missing.”
Says Tracy Marshment, TAB’s GM of wagering marketing: “We know that betting is a very social activity for our customers, and whether you’re betting on your mobile at a BBQ or in one of our TAB venues, the TAB is calling friends to get together and enjoy the return of footy and Group 1 racing.”
The fully integrated campaign will be supported via multiple channels including TV, digital, social, press, point-of-sale, outdoor, radio and CRM.

Funny as & genuinely good work.
Don’ be a hater. I think we’re all past that phase of this blog, than god.
Unless you have a vendetta, in which case, complaining here is useless.
This is trying to be both funny and slickly executed.
It’s sad what’s happened to Whybins.
Ouch. This is so bad it hurts. And the chic at the end in the snorkel gear – hilariously awkward. Poor form all round Whybins poor form.
