Taxi’s Steve Baker wins Best Comedy Animated Short at 2014 LA Comedy Shorts Film Festival

Taxi director Steve Baker has recently won Best Comedy Animated Short at the largest comedy film festival in the USA –  the L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival for ‘The Video Dating Tape of Desmondo Ray, Aged 33 & 3/4’.

This award winning film was produced by Taxi. Baker is the only Australian director to win in this years film festival.

Desmondo has been racking up the frequent flyer miles this month, first LA and, last week he was at Melbourne for the screening on the Opening Night of the highly anticipated St Kilda Film Festival. Baker’s unique style has been noticed and is highly sought after. Baker was also asked to be on the panel, at the St Kilda Film Festival, to share his successes and setbacks, creating content in Australia and working with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
